Hey Queens! 👋🏽
Guess what?! My lovely soft twists turned into a big frizzy head of twists – I hope my camera does justice of showing you this frizz ball 🙏🏽. Here is how it happened: so my lovely best friend suggested we hang out at the Seawind Beach Club Thursday, May 12, 2016. I agreed but my hair was already washed and those lovely twists were already installed. I even wore a cap to protect my hair but she threatened to wet me up so I took the cap off because I didn’t want to get it wet. My hair was going so well dry while I’m enjoying myself in the water then she splashed me and my hair got wet, I couldn’t do anything else than to enjoy myself some more in the beach after which we head to the pool where we had our favorite drink – Daiquiri 🍸.
Enough about my beautiful disaster, let’s get into how I managed to have my hair recuperate.
This is how my hair was looking after that long day at the beach and pool. I hope you do see the frizzy messy my hair was.
On Friday, I decided to wash my hair with my Tresemme Flawless Curls Curl Hydration Conditioner just to get some moisture back into my hair. This is my twists after washing them:
I then applied my Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream then my castor oil. My hair with the products in:
I let my hair air-dry until all the dripping water was gone then I braided my hair with hanging bantu-knots. I did a total of approximately 24 braids.
I tied my silk scarf on and head to bed later that night. I let these braids stay in my hair until Monday morning. I had post clinical conference at 8. This is what I was left with after taking down the braids:
This is one way in which I use to refresh my twists when they start to lose their life.
Until next time,
Peace & Love. 💋
