Hey Queens! 👋🏽
I come to you with very sad news. I lost my dad on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. I heard this news while I was at the hospital doing my practicum for school. It has taken such a tool on my body, I am just finding a little strength to write this. My dad & I were two peas in a pod, the two munchkins, anywhere you see him, you see me, I was his personal secretary, his manager – a great bond we both had that was so inseparable. Sigh. 🙁
I plan on finish publishing the posts I had for this month but I think I’ll be taking a break from blogging for awhile. I’m not sure how long because I really don’t know how long I can keep away from blogging because knowing my dad, he would not have wanted me to give up on what I’ve started.
In addition to that, his death has left us in some financial difficulties and I am just a second year nursing student at The University of Technology, Jamaica. I also have two siblings who are yet to finish school. I went ahead to initiate a GoFundMe account to assist with my schooling for the remaining two years so I can help my siblings to finish school.

Every dollar counts. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue to make my dad proud.
I have to try to remember the happy days we had to not cry, but I still cry because he’s not here. I can’t begin to tell you how great of a father he was – the world’s greatest day, my superman.

One of my most favorite moments shared with my dad this year. I had made him a salad when he lost his appetite because that’s the only thing he wanted to eat. He had already told me thank you when I brought it to him but as I walked out the room, I got this message from him.:
Until next time,
Peace & Love.
