Kinky Curly Coily Queen โ‡” Rayniece

Hey Queens! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿฝ

May’s Kinky Curly Coily Queen – meet Rayniece, my ray poo. She has been my fiend since high school, my personal chef. She always wore her hair in mini twists since high school and I watched her hair grow – it’s so beautiful. She has now become a protective style gal since University and I love the styles.

Introduce yourself.

Hey! Iโ€™m Rayniece an aspiring chef who is currently pursuing a Bachelors in Food Service Management at Utech.ย  Iโ€™m very outgoing and spontaneous. I really donโ€™t know why Monique choose me as I know nothing about hair or combing it. Thank God for hairdressers. ๐Ÿ™‚

How long have you been natural?

My whole life. lol. 20 years.

How would you describe your hair texture?

Aum hair texture is between medium and coarse. I usually had very thick hair but ever since I flat ironed it last October it became thin. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

What is your styling regimen like?

I only use protective hair style. Crotchet braids, and other braiding styles as they not only last long but also grows your hair.

What is your wash-day regimen like?

*covers face* , it depends on the hair style installed. Probably once a month, I’ll wash my hair. I oil my hair though.

What is your favorite go-to hairstyle for days when you donโ€™t have a lot of time to style?

The only thing I can do is comb it in one (she’s talking a high bun or so). Does that count? Or probably because I always have in braids.

What are some of your problem areas (if any) that require TLC?

None.

What are your favorite products to use on your hair?

Wild growth light oil moisturizer

African price olive miracle anti-breakage braid sheen spray

ย Coconut oil

conditioner and water inย  a spray bottle

hair fertilizer ointmentย  made from peppermint oil, aloe vera, pimento seeds, ginseng oil, coconut oil and castor oil

What problems have you encountered on your natural hair journey?

Split ends. Always steam your hair before and after braiding to prevent split ends. Not all braids make your hair grow. Allow your natural hair to breathe.

What does being natural means to you?

To me being natural is when you do not add chemicals or heat to your hair. Not altering the texture of your hair.Being natural means you can be versatile in terms of style afro, curls and many more.

Where can you be found?ย
