The last time I wrote was at the beginning of this year to say how I have been away for so long and now five (5) months later I’m doing the same. I’m honestly not doing this on purpose. Ever since I lost my dad, my life has made a big 360° turn. Finding out I was pregnant while attending nursing school to taking on a part-time job but I must say things are working out for the better because I have great news. 😊
It’s been so long since I’ve made any content. I just realized my last post was January 16, 2018. How bad of me! 😔 There’s a good explanation for that though. I’m now a first time mom and I’m still learning to balance being a mom, school and work.
But….. before I go any furtherHappy New Year guys! I hope 2018 was a wonderful year and I wish great things for this year, 2019.
To display how busy I have been last year, I was contacted in September about a blog post creator of Reviews.com wanted me to share on my blog and I have not gotten around to do it last year until now. What better time to post it, as a few days from today I will be straightening my hair and getting a trim to start off the year right with my natural hair. Without further a due here’s the blog post from Reviews.com:
If you are just visiting my page then you might have missed My First Voxbox complimentary of Influenster and the products I reviewed from it. This second voxbox I received is the #TinselVoxbox with array of products to try out and give my honest review.
I know it’s been like forever but a lot is going on which you’ll soon find out about. 😀 I have so many products to review for you though, like so many. I have a lot of empties at home sitting down ready to be reviewed but since I am in the states I can’t review those that are in Jamaica.
Since I’m in the states I thought I would get my hands on some new products. I was watching a few YouTube videos and I noticed that there were a lot of reviews on this Granier® Fructis® Curl Nourish Line and it seems to work for those with natural hair. This is actually my first time using products from a product line together to see the results I will achieve. Let’s see how long I can keep this up for. The first line of products I will be using is the Granier® Fructis® Curl Nourish Line.
Hair is almost entirely made up of protein, which gives hair its strength. ALL NEW, paraben-free Fructis formulas with Active Fruit Protein, an exclusive combination of citrus protein, Vitamins B3 & B6, fruit & plant-derived extracts and strengthening conditioners, are designed for healthier, stronger hair.
I’m so sorry I’ve been distant. I’ve been really busy. School and work is more hectic than I thought it would be. *sigh* I miss blogging but I’ll try to work harder to make more posts through my busy schedules. I have a strategy in mind and I hope it works. Now, onto the post at hand.
I stay trying new deep conditioners. Especially because I need to find one that it’s great at moisturizing my hair but also great on my pocket. The previous deep conditioner I reviewed was a bit too much for my pocket, that’s the ORS™ Shealicious™ Moisture Lock.
This deep conditioning masque is enriched with shea butter, coconut and avocado oils to intensely rehydrate and detangle all natural hair types, leaving it feeling soft and looking vibrantly healthy.
If you know me then you know I love a great gel. I’ve been an eco styler girl since the discovering of this gel but then I heard of the great flaxseed gel. I never thought I’d find Aunt Jackie’s Curls & Coils flaxseed gel here in Jamaica but you know your girl just had to get herself one of these to try.
This product is sulfate and paraben-free. It contains no mineral oil or petrolatum.
It is great for natural curls, coils and waves.
It is enriched with flaxseed and wheat protein. Flaxseed, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, promotes hair health from the inside out, and helps to prevent dryness & flaking. Aunt Jackie’s special Flaxseed recipe adds nourishment to hair, while giving bounce and stretch to withering curls, twists, and coils.
How are y’all doing? I want to firstly thank you for the continuous support. I’m just in my eighth month of blogging but it already feels like a year because of the way time is moving so fast. Thank you again and look out for more interesting posts.
I remember mentioning that I was taking store bought acne products out of my skin regimen but guess what? 😱 My best friend’s persuasion on how good this product was being that her aunt, a pharmacist recommended it to her when she was going through some terrible breakouts on her face, as well as, my intentions of supporting my country, Jamaica bid me to buy this product.
This product here contains four products, hence it being an acne treatment system. It is dermatologist formulated, suitable for all skin types and is a product of Jamaica. You go my people. I’m so proud of you. 🙂
I’m here with another product review – another deep conditioner. I’ve been wanting to try this product since it was launched by ORS. You guys might be aware of the three new conditioning cocktails they offer. They include the Shealicious Moisture Lock, Shealicious Scalp Relief and Shealicious Shine Booster. Each cocktail comes with the aforementioned natural oils on the side that you mix with a shea butter conditioner on the other side. The Shealicious Moisture Lock uses tamanu and black current oils, the Shealicious Scalp Relief uses avocado and rosemary oils and the Shealicious Shine Booster uses alma and argan oils. I bought the Shealicious Moisture Lock.
The Mix for Dry, Damaged Hair
I was fascinated by this because it has a very cute packaging that gives you the feel of making your own little cocktail. I’m a DIY girl, so just imagine own excited I was about making this.
I’m back with another review. Now this is a brand that has been on my wish list ever since I discovered it. I was always drawn to the Coconut & Hibiscus line because I have extremely frizzy hair. I was so excited when I entered PassionMeThis SheaMoisture giveaway. Not to mention, I prayed to God that I won this giveaway and He came through just right. *Thank you God* 🙇🏽🙏🏽 So you know it’s your girl’s first time trying out these products and I was hella excited. I’m sorry, I just can’t contain my excitement.
These products are sulfate, paraben, phthalates, paraffin, propylene glycol, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, synthetic color and DEA free, as well as, there was no animal testing. There are also inclusive of three main ingredients:
