So I’ve been a member of the Influenster nation for a few months now and I’m pretty excited because I just got my first voxbox.

Product Review | Garnier® Fructis® Curl Nourish Line

Hey Queens! 👋🏽

I know it’s been like forever but a lot is going on which you’ll soon find out about. 😀 I have so many products to review for you though, like so many. I have a lot of empties at home sitting down ready to be reviewed but since I am in the states I can’t review those that are in Jamaica.

Since I’m in the states I thought I would get my hands on some new products. I was watching a few YouTube videos and I noticed that there were a lot of reviews on this Granier® Fructis® Curl Nourish Line and it seems to work for those with natural hair.  This is actually my first time using products from a product line together to see the results I will achieve. Let’s see how long I can keep this up for. The first line of products I will be using is the Granier® Fructis® Curl Nourish Line.

Hair is almost entirely made up of protein, which gives hair its strength. ALL NEW, paraben-free Fructis formulas with Active Fruit Protein, an exclusive combination of citrus protein, Vitamins B3 & B6, fruit & plant-derived extracts and strengthening conditioners, are designed for healthier, stronger hair.

Color Treated

Hey Queens! 👋🏽

I do not remember if I had mentioned it before but it has been in the back of my mind that 2017 would be a year of trying new things with my natural hair. This first thing I did to my hair that I have never done before was to professionally flat iron and cut my hair. Guess what I did next? I colored my hair. I can say 2017 has been one risky year so far.

Flat Ironed and Cut 💇🏽

Hey Queens! 👋🏽

I currently got my natural hair straightened, that was February 18, 2017 because my weeks are quite hectic to be dealing with a thick head of hair each morning. Be mindful I am one whom is very much afraid of heat and have always tried to dodge ever doing that to my hair. You may wonder why I changed my mind and went ahead to do so. It is because I heard of the first blow-dry bar in Jamaica. Yes, Blow by Blow. It is owned by the Chynn sisters – Tami, Tessanne and Terrie. I always stated that if I was going to get my hair flat ironed, I would rather a professional do that. Blow by Blow came just in time.

First Time Installing Box Braids

Hey Queens! 👋🏽

So I installed box braids for the first time. This was my first time doing a protective style that includes covering my entire hair. I must say it was a long process – I hate it. I hate to sit and have someone in my hair for too long. It made me look more mature – I now looked like a 21 year old than a 16 year old.

I did this because I recently cut the damaged ends off, therefore I was unable to do my mini twists without them loosing out due to the fact that my ends were blunt.

Product Review | ORS™ Shealicious™ Moisture Lock

Hey Queens! 👋🏽

I’m here with another product review – another deep conditioner. I’ve been wanting to try this product since it was launched by ORS. You guys might be aware of the three new conditioning cocktails they offer. They include the Shealicious Moisture Lock, Shealicious Scalp Relief and Shealicious Shine Booster. Each cocktail comes with the aforementioned natural oils  on the side that you mix with a shea butter conditioner on the other side. The Shealicious Moisture Lock uses tamanu and black current oils, the Shealicious Scalp Relief uses avocado and rosemary oils and the Shealicious Shine Booster uses alma and argan oils. I bought the Shealicious Moisture Lock.

The Mix for Dry, Damaged Hair

I was fascinated by this because it has a very cute packaging that gives you the feel of making your own little cocktail. I’m a DIY girl, so just imagine own excited I was about making this.

Twist N’ Curl ft. Shea Moisture

Hey Queens! 👋🏽

I know you guys are used to me doing the Twist n’ Curl method (here and here) where I twist the hair then roll 3-5 twists onto a perm rod but this time I did the other method. I realize that the initial method I usually use takes a longer time to dry.

Twist n' Curl ft. Shea Moisture

In addition to that, I used the wonderful Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Curling Gel Soufflè to achieve this style.
